Proper Xchange was founded on that belief — and built by a woman who lived it.
The Founder
Debbie Pullens is a trained scientist of scent and sound, community healer, and nonprofit leader who turned personal pain into lifelong purpose. After a serious injury introduced her to Frankincense essential oil, she earned her certification through the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and never looked back.
Today, Debbie formulates every Proper Xchange product with clinical precision and a healer's intuition. She selects each botanical for a reason, leaves out anything that doesn't serve the blend, and creates from the conviction that rest, calm, and restoration should not be reserved for those who can afford a five-star spa.
The Full Practice
As a Sound Healing Practitioner, Debbie incorporates crystal singing bowls, binaural beats, and tuning forks into immersive wellness experiences. As a Corporate Wellness Partner, she provides aromatherapy workshops and curated gift sets to corporations, medical facilities, and hospitality partners who understand that employee wellbeing is essential.
Reaching Beyond Bars
In 2013, Debbie founded Reaching Beyond Bars — a nonprofit bringing wellness and dignity to people impacted by the justice system. Through the Wellness Within program, handcrafted aromatherapy kits reach incarcerated individuals, correctional staff, and returning citizens. Every Proper Xchange purchase supports this mission.
